How to password protect a Word document
- Open the document you want to protect
- Click Info
- Click Protect Document
- Click Encrypt with password
- Enter the desired password and click OK
- Confirm the password and click Ok
- Save the document and close Word
- You will now be prompted for a password when opening the document
