Aruba access improved GUI
- Login to the switch with manager access
- Open the navigation menu to the left and select Security, IP Authorization
- Under IP Authorization Management click the + button to open the add new IP Address window
- Select the IP Type required, in this guide IPV4
- Enter the IP Address of the machine you wish to have access
- Enter the Mask as 255.255.255.255 or if you wish to give a range of machines access enter for example 255.255.255.250 to give 5 machines on the range access
- Select the desired access method
- Select the Access level for the specified machine(s)
- Click Save
- Only machines now specified in the previous steps will have access to the switch
Aruba traditional GUI
- Login to the switch with manager access
- Open the navigation menu to the left and select Security, IP Authorization
- Click Add Address
- Enter the IP Address of the machine you wish to have access
- Enter the Mask as 255.255.255.255 or if you wish to give a range of machines access enter for example 255.255.255.250 to give 5 machines on the range access
- Select the desired access method
- Select the Access level for the specified machine(s)
- Click Save
- Only machines now specified in the previous steps will have access to the switch
HP ProCurve Java GUI
- Login to the switch with manager access via Internet Explorer
- On the navigation bar along the top select Security and Authorized Addresses
- Enter the IP Address of the machine you wish to have access
- Enter the Mask as 255.255.255.255 or if you wish to give a range of machines access enter for example 255.255.255.250 to give 5 machines on the range access
- Select the Access level for the specified machine(s)
- Click Add
- Only machines now specified in the previous steps will have access to the switch
HP Web Management Platform GUI
- Login to the switch with manager access via Internet Explorer
- On the navigation bar along the top select Security and Authorized IP
- Note that there are currently no entries
- Click on QOS
- Click ACL IPV4
- Click Create
- Enter the ACL number 2001 (Basic ACL entries can be any number from 200 – 2999)
- Leave the Match Order as Config
- Click Apply
- You now have an ACL ready to put your IP Addresses in
- Click on QOS
- Click ACL IPV4
- Click Basic Setup
- Select the previously created 2001 ACL from the drop down menu
- Tick Source IP Address and enter the IP Address of the client you wish to give access to
- Enter the Source Wildcard as 255.255.255.255 or if you wish to give a range of machines access enter for example 255.255.255.250 to give 5 machines on the range access
- Click Add
- Click on QOS
- Click ACL IPV4
- Click Setup
- Under Telnet and Web (HTTP) IPv4 ACL select from the dropdown the 2001 ACL previously created
- Click Apply
- You can now see that the IPv4 ACL entries are present. The switch will now deny access to any device trying to connect to the management GUI other than the ones specified in the ACL
