Hyper-V replication critical after disk resize has taken place.
Impact
The virtual machine will fail to replicate until the issue is resolved.
Known / associated error messages
You receive an error “Hyper-V Replica failed to apply the log file onto the VHD for virtual machine ID. an out-of-bounds write was encountered on the Replica virtual machine. The Primary server VHD might have been resized. Ensure that the disks sizes of the Primary and the Replica virtual machine are the same.“
Known Fixes / Solutions
To fix the issue open the setting of the replica server and match the size of the source VHD to the replica VHD. This issue normally occurs when an Admin has increased the size of the source VHD.
